Equity for all leads to success for all.
We’re dedicated to supporting real change.
Movement Building
Through partnerships, network-building, education, data, and storytelling, we’re inspiring a groundswell of interest among business leaders and investors to provide all employees with the opportunity to participate in the value they help create—not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it’s smarter business.
Hands-on Guidance
In collaboration with our founding partners, we’re helping public and private companies develop and implement new models of broad-based employee ownership that improve corporate cultures, increase employee engagement and satisfaction, and create an alignment of interests between employees and employer, all of which can support better outcomes for companies and workers.
We see a new future of work and wealth.
Ownership Works envisions a future in which broad-based employee ownership is the new norm at work, creating thriving companies and employees that are invested in their mutual success. At scale, employee ownership can help millions of lower-income workers and people of color build savings and wealth, often for the first time, at businesses that are more dynamic, resilient, and successful.
By 2030, we anticipate that the shared ownership movement will:
- Create hundreds of thousands of new employee-owners
- Generate at least $20 billion of wealth for workers
We all have a role to play.
Establishing broad-based employee ownership as the new norm requires both the will and the way to implement these programs. We need buy-in from CEOs and investors to extend ownership throughout a company, as well as practical and replicable models that work for small, middle-market, and large corporations. To meet these needs, Ownership Works has engaged a brain trust of over 80 prominent firms, organizations, and leaders to help tackle long-standing barriers to scaling employee ownership. Each stakeholder has a critical role to play in advancing the shared ownership movement and creating economic opportunity for all.
